The event, scheduled for Monday, April 8, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, aims to foster dialogue and address pressing issues facing AAPI business leaders in various industries.

Hosted by Asian corporate entrepreneur leader and founder Jason Wong, the roundtable has garnered attention from approximately 20 prominent community leaders representing diverse backgrounds, including the Korean, Lao, and Chinese communities. Notable attendees include Arizona Chinese Chamber President John Lee, Arizona Chinese Week’s Eva Lee, as well as representatives from Phoenix and Taipei Sister Cities Lingling Li and the Arizona Chinese Times.

The focal point of the discussion revolves around the challenges encountered by AAPI business leaders in their respective industries. Attendees have been encouraged to keep their inquiries centered on business matters. Throughout the meeting, critical topics such as housing, the presence of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Syber Security and the establishment of direct flights to Asia have been raised.

Congressman Gallego, expressing appreciation for the community’s participation, has emphasized his commitment to addressing the concerns voiced during the discussion. He has pledged to advocate for increased support for first-time homebuyers, potentially reducing the down payment required for FHA loans. Additionally, Gallego has expressed significant apprehension regarding Syber Security, highlighting the need for concerted efforts in this area.

Moreover, the congressman has affirmed his dedication to fostering stronger relationships with Asian countries, hinting at potential opportunities for the development of direct flights, particularly from Phoenix to Taipei and from Phoenix to South Korea.
