2016 CONTESTANTS FOR MISS PHOENIX CHINESE SELECTED

2016 CONTESTANTS FOR MISS PHOENIX CHINESE SELECTED Ms. Ling Lynne Win, Chair of the Chinese United Association of Greater Phoenix (CUAGP) Committee for the 2016 Miss Phoenix Chinese Pageant introduced the finalists to the Board, the community, and the residents earlier this month in the Community Room of Hong Lok House.

The Pageant will be conducted on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Theater of Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler. The event begins at 3 p.m. and doors will open at 2 p.m. General Admission tickets will be $10 and VIP will be $50. Ticket sales are scheduled to begin before the end of this month at several familiar sites; box office sales will be also available just before the Pageant.

CUAGP has coordinated Miss Phoenix Chinese Pageants for almost 50 years, and the most recent one held at this venue was very well received given its superior facilities. The Pageant has been a highlight of the year for promoting Chinese cultural heritage, for providing scholarships and training for very deserving young women of our community, and for sheer entertainment of all attendees.

Training/rehearsals for the 2016 Pageant have begun and promotional visits are planned to Phoenix Children抯 Hospital and PBS Channel 8 fundraising telethon if arrangements are subsequently confirmed.
