The ASU Confucius Institute will host a professional teacher workshop presented by Dr. His-hsin Liang of University of Virginia on April 12 (Sunday) in MU of the ASU Tempe Campus. The workshop will present effective strategies for introducing and practicing targeted grammatical points and vocabulary through topic-based language teaching. Examples will be demonstrated on the best ways to use curriculum design to enhance language learning in the classrooms. Teachers will get 4.5 professional teaching hour certificate at the end of the workshop.

The ASU Confucius Institute will also present the awards to winners in the ASU CI Student Video Contest. Students will receive the following awards: Best Video, Best Original Screeplay, Best Adapted Video, Best Music, Best Animated, Best Production and Best Film Editing Awards during lunchtime. Participants will have opportunity to enjoy the video clips from the winners of this contest.
